"Don't shop, adopt."

Puppy mills are establishments that breed a large number of puppies for sale. Since profit is the name of the game, adequate care is limited. Puppies live in dirty cages without access to socialization or veterinarians. There is nothing for them to do except pace back and forth.

Dogs from pet stores have likely obtained them from a puppy mill. Check out your local shelter instead where puppies receive proper treatment and where you are sure to find your new best friend.
