"I never knew."

Most of us do not realize how animals are treated as they are raised for food. And for good reason. Factory farms and slaughterhouses are placed in remote areas and they try to suppress the cruel conditions that animals are forced to live in. Ad-gag laws also try to keep the information unavailable to the public.

Instead we are given photos of idealistic farm settings and illustrations of happy cows, pigs, and chickens on our food products. Nothing could be further from the truth.
