Pregnant and nursing pigs are kept in severely confined cages that are so small that they cannot even turn around. They spend the majority of their life here as they are forced to birth litter after litter.
After birth, the piglets can only touch their their mother through the iron bars of her cage before they are removed from her and she is impregnated again. This cycle of misery continues for years. The pork industry then serves us bacon, ham, and sausage without giving the slightest notice of what she had to physically, mentally, and emotionally endure.
You have the power to end these cruel systems by making the switch to foods that are plant based.
