The bacon, sausage, ham, and other pork products are all born from misery. Female pigs are confined in tight gestation crates - cages so small that they are barely are big enough for her to fit in. Here she lies for years doing nothing except being stationary in her prison. Her mission is to birth baby pigs, some who, if female, will eventually share in the same misery.

She cannot form a nest as she would do in a natural setting or cuddle her babies when they are born. They are separated from her from bars and all they can do is drink her milk through them and try to get close to her.

There are amazing plant based pork and other meat products where this suffering does not have to happen and where sweet and affectionate living beings are not treated as merely products.

A kinder, more equal world can exist for all living beings. Make a positive difference and give plant based foods a delicious try.
